Single- and Multi-channel I/O
Valmet I/O hardware provides a full range of digital and analog interfaces and high-speed controls for Valmet Controllers with single-channel or multi-channel I/O modules. Combining the best of centralized and distributed I/O technologies in a compact format, Valmet’s I/O portfolio is simple yet powerful.
I/Os for harsh environments
Valmet I/O hardware is built to withstand the harsh environments of industrial processes while delivering fast control speeds and high-accuracy interfaces. Each unit has conformal coating as standard and an operating temperature up to +70 °C. Optional redundancy on the I/O cabinet level is implemented using dual Fieldbus, power feed, and communication unit per pair. Extensive channel-specific diagnostics, available without additional engineering, ensure you can stay on top of hardware performance. Should an I/O unit need replacing, you change any number of I/O units during operation. Hot swapping is a standard feature of all Valmet I/O models.

Multi-channel I/O
Valmet ACN M80 and M120 series multi-channel I/O units are designed for robust performance and high availability in harsh conditions.
The ACN M80 is tailored for low-voltage and low-current analog/digital applications. In contrast, the ACN M120 series is engineered for high-voltage isolation between channels and supports digital interfaces for high DC/AC line voltages without the need for external relays. It excels in machine condition monitoring and other specialized features. Additionally, the ACN M120 can incorporate redundancy at the I/O level to ensure extremely high availability.
Both the Valmet ACN M80 and M120 I/O units are compatible with Valmet DNA and DNAe Distributed Control Systems.
Single-channel I/O
The single-channel Valmet Signal I/O enhances I/O modularity, allowing you to select and modify each I/O interface independently, without dependencies. This versatile solution includes low and high voltage I/O, condition monitoring I/O, and specialized interface modules, all within a single portfolio.
Signal I/O creates new opportunities for project engineering and collaboration between suppliers. It is compatible with the latest generation of the Valmet DNAe Distributed Control System.
