Terra Production increases capacity by 70% with Danfoss iC7-Automation
SERBIA: Founded in 2006, Terra Production doo Inđija is the first and only contract manufacturing plant for non-alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages in Serbia. For nearly two decades, the company has built its reputation on three key pillars: safety, quality, and flexibility, offering a wide range of beverages from beer and soft drinks to juices and wine. As demand for contract bottling services surged, Terra Production had to overcome its current capacity limits. Their breakthrough goal: increase annual output by more than 50% while maintaining energy-efficient, sustainable, and long-term stable operations. The project for the entire new bottling line was entrusted to a system integrator, who selected Danfoss equipment as a proven industry standard in food and beverage.
“What mattered to us was reducing the number of inverter lines to simplify installation and minimize format adjustments on each line. Since the new line has only been in operation since March this year, we are still fine-tuning the technology, and the full effectiveness of the implementation will become clearer over time.” — Dejan Antonijević, Maintenance Electrical Engineer, Terra Production
Terra Production Expansion Project
Challenge: Demand Growth Beyond Existing Capacity
Terra Production’s bottling line had been running at full capacity, reaching 120 million liters per year. As customer demand continued to rise, the company needed a new system that could scale flexibly, increase output, and still maintain quality, safety, and efficiency.
The leadership’s vision went beyond meeting current demand – it was about preparing for the next stage. This required adopting advanced technology, integrating modern safety protocols, and selecting solutions that reduce environmental impact, aiming for stable and sustainable long-term growth.
Solution: Turnkey Bottling Line with 40 Next-Generation iC7 Drives
To realize this ambitious expansion plan, Terra Production partnered with Trasing DOO Stalać, a Serbian system integrator with 40 years of experience in material handling and the food & beverage industry. Trasing designed and delivered a complete bottling line that combines efficiency, flexibility, and the latest industry standards.

The iC7 series belongs to the new generation of drives, delivering outstanding performance in reliability, precision, and integrated safety features. This project also marks a significant milestone: the first installation of Danfoss iC7 drives in the Adriatic region. Beyond production efficiency, the iC7 series supports energy optimization, helping Terra Production minimize its environmental footprint while achieving ambitious capacity targets.
“Every decision we make stems from customer needs and expectations. With more than 40 years of system integration experience across multiple industries, especially food and beverage, we understand the importance of choosing the right equipment. In this project, our top priority was to use the latest solutions, aligned with future technologies, creating opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement from past achievements.” — Petar Gligorijević, Sales & Marketing Director, Trasing doo
“As a long-standing sales service partner of Danfoss in Serbia, this project gave us the opportunity to introduce customers to the most advanced drive series on the market — the new iC7. Although the line has only been operating since March 2025, we expect impressive results in the near future. This will also become a showcase project for many other customers in the region.” — Nenad Mirosavljević, Sales Representative, INDAS doo
Results: From 120 Million to 200 Million Liters – Redefining Production
Since commissioning, the new bottling line has helped Terra Production increase annual capacity by around 70% — from 120 million liters to 180–200 million liters, depending on the product line. Early results show not only a significant boost in output but also improved reliability, along with reduced operating time. Fine-tuning is still ongoing, but the long-term benefits are already clear: Terra Production is now ready to meet growing customer demand, cut energy consumption, and move toward a more sustainable production model for the future.
By choosing Danfoss iC7 drives, Terra Production has secured a forward-looking solution that balances growth with sustainability, strengthens its market position, and sets new standards for the beverage industry in the region.
“Our idea is to provide future-ready VFD drives that deliver energy-efficient operation and, above all, reliability throughout the lifecycle of the production line.” — Dejan Kojić, Sales Director Adriatic Partner, Danfoss Serbia
