March 13, 2026, ATZ Solutions accompanied Valmet, its strategic partner in Vietnam, at the Executive Dialogue on Automation in the Pulp and Paper Industry. The event was part of the program “Advancing Vietnam’s Paper Industry Strategy with Valmet Automation Solutions,” held during the official visit of Valmet Automation’s Vice President, Mr. Jari Almi, to Vietnam at the Grand Mercure, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Through this initiative, Valmet aims to reaffirm its commitment to supporting Vietnamese paper manufacturers in enhancing product quality, optimizing fuel and energy efficiency, reducing CO₂ emissions, and increasing the high level of plant automation, optimization and productivity, not only in Vietnam but also across the Southeast Asian region.

The dialogue took place in an open and interactive forum among leaders of Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association (VPPA) and the Vietnamese pulp and paper enterprises, the Vice President of Valmet Automation, and Valmet’s representatives in Vietnam. Discussions focused on key topics related to production, business operations, and industry development trends.

Key areas of interest included technology investment orientations in a highly competitive market, balancing cost, performance, and product quality, as well as the role of automation in corporate governance and operational efficiency.

Valmet’s perspective on the paper quality management system (QCS)

Mr. Jari Almi shared global insights into the Paper Quality Management System (QCS), emphasizing its ability to enhance process stability, ensure consistent product quality, reduce energy consumption, and optimize overall production performance.

Positive feedback from enterprises that have implemented the QCS system indicates that it is well suited to the operational conditions and development needs of Vietnam’s pulp and paper industry. Valmet representatives also introduced other automation solutions, such as the Distributed Control System (DCS), Steam Profiler, Dilution Profiler and Analyzer & Measurement systems, and other automation solutions which support effective process control and help achieve optimal operational efficiency.

The event was concluded with great success, marked by the signing ceremony of a Frame Agreements between ATZ Solutions Co., Ltd.—the authorized representative of Valmet in Vietnam—and leading enterprises in the paper industry. The agreement aims to supply the world’s most advanced next-generation Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS) technologies, along with Dilution Profiler systems, for carton board paper mills as well as for new tissue paper mill projects currently being implemented in Northern Vietnam.
